Holiday In The East Coast Of Malaysia.

East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia covers Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang. It is often referred to as the pulse of Malay culture where tradition conserved in the middle of the village lifestyle.

Visitors will realize how different the conditions here compared to the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia - a low population density, a smaller placement, more relaxed lifestyle and more land-based revenue.

Visitors can watch one of the favorite pastime games such as gasing (top) and wau bulan (moon kite). See also how skilled craftsmen working in cottage industries such as silver craft, batik and songket. Do not forget to explore the unique and bustling market in Kota Bharu and Kuala Terengganu.

The East Coast offers a peace and beautiful fishing village along their beach. The islands on the east coast has become so popular and the main attractions to the local and foreign tourist. These islands provide an accommodation such as a simple chalet and world-class hotels. There are several resorts available in Kuantan. In Cherating, most of the accommodations are in village-style chalet. It will be more interesting watching the turtles laying eggs in several locations along the east coast.

Perhentian Island, Redang Island, Kapas Island and Tioman Island are famous for its scuba diving activity. Tasik Kenyir (Kenyir Lake) which is located 55km from Kuala Terengganu is a fishing haven and very popular among anglers. It is the largest man-made lake in the region. Taman Negara Malaysia can be visited from any of the three east coast states.

To get to the east coast, visitors can take direct flights to Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan and Pulau Tioman from Kuala Lumpur. Tourists can also drive through the East-West Highway in the north or the east coast Highway from Kuala Lumpur.
